Sharan Johnstone is Head of Cyber Security for the University of South Wales and responsible for managing the National Cyber Security Academy the undergraduate, postgraduate and Continued Professional Development courses within it, and the Cyber Community Clinic which is offered from our Newport campus.
In addition to this, she is the Director of the Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE-CES) and manages the outreach teams at the National Digital Exploitation Centre and Cyber First Schools and Colleges, Wales and leads the Talent and Skills team of the Cyber Innovation Hub, which is a collaborative project between Cardiff City Region, Cardiff University, the University of South Wales, Tramshed Tech and Alacrity, which aims to retrain and upskill 1500 plus people in Wales to help them enter and progress across the diverse and rapidly growing cyber security sector.
She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a HEA approved external examiner and the current STEM Woman of the Year.
